Qualifications

  • Current Engineering student, preferably Junior or Senior year.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Inventor for basic tooling design/blueprint reading.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Some knowledge of machining operations.
  • Clear, concise communication style.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Lean knowledge would be helpful for shop floor responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Value Stream Managers and Manufacturing Engineers with lean projects.
  • Design fixtures with 3D modeling in Inventor and create detailed drawings.
  • Purchase hardware and work with machinists to fabricate fixturing.
  • Develop standard work and visual aids.
  • Learn basic troubleshooting for fixturing and valve test equipment.
