Job summary

American Air Filter International in Florida is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support our production teams. You will work closely with experienced engineers to analyze processes, drive efficiency, and implement improvements in a real-world manufacturing setting.

This internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities to develop skills in Lean, data analysis, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; data analysis tools preferred.
• Prior internship or coursework in manufacturing/engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Processes: Analyze manufacturing processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Data Analysis: Collect and analyze throughput, cycle time, and yield data.
• Quality Assurance: Work with QA to perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen events.
• Equipment Maintenance: Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain docs and prepare reports for stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain.
