Job summary

GE Vernova's Erlanger Service Center seeks a student intern to contribute to manufacturing operations on-site in Erlanger, KY. Projects typically span 2–6 months, potentially extending up to two years, requiring independent decision-making and collaboration with operators and management.

The role involves analyzing efficiency data, creating presentations, and possibly coding or compensation analysis in line with the internship track. Open to spring 2027 start dates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
• Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the team on-site in Erlanger, Kentucky on projects often requiring independent decision-making.
• Work with operators and management to determine root cause of quality defects and inefficiencies based on efficiency data and standards.
• Expected to work both in an office environment and a shop floor manufacturing environment.
• Maintain multiple projects in various departments.
• Develop graphic presentations using PowerPoint or similar programs, to communicate progress, share best practices, and provide updates.
• May be asked to analyze data with Excel or various other analysis tools.
• May be asked to take on special projects that fall within the function the intern is studying.
• May be asked to participate in early talent events, seminars, or trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
