Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Winston-Salem, NC. You’ll support the Manufacturing Engineering team to improve processes, resolve production issues, and drive yield and quality improvements during a 10–12 week program.

Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.

Learn lab procedures for maintaining process chemistries.

Work with department mechanical and electrical engineers for process improvements.

Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies.

Provide engineering support for other departments as needed.

Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files.

Prepare and complete a presentation to the department and for personal portfolio at the end of the internship showing project status and achievements

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:

Have earned a high school diploma or GED

Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).

Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project

Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.91 – 45.04/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Timeline

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
