Job summary

Ultralife Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-op in Newark, NY. You will work closely with the manufacturing team on floor-level optimization, CAD-based tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will gain hands-on experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, production tooling, and documentation practices while supporting a high‑volume, regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical Engineering with at least two years of study.
• Eligible for a college co-op/intern program.
• Preference for hands-on manufacturing and CAD coursework.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production lines to reduce cycle times and waste.
• Design fixtures and tooling using CAD tools.
• Develop and update MWIs and routers for assembly.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electromechanical equipment on the floor.
• Contribute to CAPA and NCR investigations.
• Support Lean 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
