GeoLogics is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with an ACTIVE Secret Clearance to work onsite in Palmdale, CA. The role involves developing and implementing manufacturing processes and enhancing production efficiency through new technologies. Candidates must have a BS or MS degree with extensive manufacturing engineering experience, particularly familiar with CATIA and Teamcenter. Title: Manufacturing Engineer with ACTIVE Secret Clearance (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

Rate Range: $50/hr - $100/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid)

Location: Onsite in Palmdale, CA 93550 (no relocation package)

Duration: 12+ months

Security Clearance: Active Secret Security clearance issued by the Department of Defense

Job Description

Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures for assemblies and equipment installation. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Required Experience

• Varying breadth of "first time build" experience. (i.e., first time product development)
• Catia V5 Structural Assembly Aviation Experience
• Previous Manufacturing Engineer Experience (minimum of 4 years)
• 3 years of recent Teamcenter experience
• Not an ME Planner role
• Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance/production planning
• Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: fabrication, assembly, and machining in several disciplines including composites, metallics, machining, bonded assemblies & installations
• Previous experience developing visual work instructions for use in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Teamcenter and CATIA
• Secret Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years

Education Required

BS degree and 9-15 years of experience or MS degree and 7-13 years of experience
