Job description

Job Overview

To support manufacturing operations by determining the most cost-effective methods of manufacturing components using existing equipment and facilities, as well as proposing new methods and equipment.

A Day In The Life
  • Troubleshoot and resolve recurring manufacturing process issues.
  • Prepare justification documentation for capital expenditures.
  • Assist in tool design and manufacturing process development.
  • Assist in developing cost-saving measures through continuous improvement processes (Kaizen).
  • Provide cost estimates to marketing for new and existing product lines.
  • Collaborate with product engineering on product changes and new product introductions.
  • Provide technical support and training to direct labor employees.
  • Engage in cross-functional opportunities within the Business Unit, including quality, supervision, and scheduling functions.
  • Investigate and implement safety and ergonomic improvements in manufacturing settings.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Welding knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with CNC Machine and Plasma Table programming (highly preferred).
  • Fixture and tool design experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Previous SAP experience (preferred).
