Job DescriptionJob Description

The MET curriculum will provide an excellent developmental opportunity within research and development engineering with pre-assigned practical hands-on projects contributing directly to the performance and success of the organization. The assigned projects will be targeted with: new product design, product enhancements, technology development, business process automation, competitive benchmarking, product life and performance testing, and more. This role focuses on building a strong foundation within the Dodge organization by engaging the trainees in the Innovation Center with hands-on projects.

Lastly, this position will include daily mentorship with tremendous opportunity for exposure to all levels of leadership. It is an excellent opportunity to learn the products, the business, and the people as a great starting point to your career at Dodge Industrial!

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Hands-on setup of lab tests in our innovation center shadowing our lab technicians
• Learn about industrial applications and how our products can better serve industries and society
• Drive product enhancements and improvements on current designs
• Hands-on testing at two of our three industry-leading innovation centers
• Work directly with R&D engineering team to pioneer new best-practices in the innovation center
• Seek out and explore new technologies and how they would apply to our products
• Collaborate with other functional areas including operations, supply chain, product management, R&D, and quality to ensure overall alignment
• Challenge the status quo and try to find ways to improve our products, processes, and procedures
• Occasional travel as required for the MET training program

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on critical thinking, root cause analysis, and problem-solving
• Attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
