About Our Client

My client is a leading, global manufacturer of engineered metal products serving customers primarily in the aerospace & automotive sectors. They are well-renowned for superior quality, and the business has leveraged this to see impressive growth both organically and through strategic acquisition. Their manufacturing site in Rockford, IL is adding talented Engineers due to this exciting growth!

Job Description

  • Design, implement and monitor manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct training sessions for production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Maintain documentation of all manufacturing processes and improvements.
  • Participate in product design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have :

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Prior experience in fastener manufacturing is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software for design of custom tooling / fixtures to aid production.
  • Proven experience utilizing LEAN / CI / Six Sigma tools to drive production cost savings.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • The ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with various departments.
