Job summary

BD is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support and improve processes, reducing costs. You will design production tools and machines, develop solutions to production problems, and apply new technology across materials, processes, and tooling.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, writing SOPs, and driving lean improvements with SPC/DOE methods, while coordinating tooling transfers to Puerto Rico facilities and ensuring cGMP/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Chemical).
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with tool and machine design.

Responsibilities

• Designs tools and/or machines for manufacturing; obtains approvals and builds tooling as required.
• Re-designs, repairs, or replaces in-process equipment, controls hardware, and tooling.
• Develops processes, tooling, and production controls for new programs; supervises their assembly and proofing.
• Sets up new equipment; ensures satisfactory operation and trains others.
• Writes procedures for operation of new or existing equipment; recommends new technology.
