Job summary

L&T Technology Services LTD in Wisconsin seeks an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to lead fixture design and process improvement on manufacturing lines. You will create 3D fixture layouts and detailed drawings using SolidWorks and GD&T, while collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams to validate concepts and support trials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of fixtures using SolidWorks.
• Create complete 3D fixture layouts, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings using GD&T.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to validate fixture concepts, support trials, and resolve shop floor issues.
• Drive process capability and productivity improvements through effective fixture solutions.
• Develop and maintain standardized work instructions incorporating fixture usage, operator guidance, and safety considerations.
• Study Assembly Lines/ Processes and identify areas for improvement as per Lean Principles.
• Perform Time Study and Line Balancing - Elemental breakdown, Video Time study- All Processes (Stations & Operator), VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, Develop Current State Line Balancing, Muri Analysis.
• Develop Value Stream Mapping - Current State VSM - Identify bottlenecks, wastes and inefficiencies, Capacity analysis and Current baselining, Future State VSM, Current state vs Future state.
• Identify Process and productivity improvement opportunities for entire process with Level 1,2,3 improvement suggestions report and roadmap.
• Develop/ re-write Standard work instructions, Video work instructions.
• Analysis of Root Cause for the quality failures, defects, downtimes etc., and support in corrective action & Kaizen / improvement identification with detailed implementation plan.
• Support in Fixture design as per requirements.
