The role interfaces with design engineers to ensure producibility, develops build strategies, and drives cost reduction through robust process controls. Friday to Monday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM shift, supports manufacturing tasks and equipment

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in ME, EE or OE and 3+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 5+ years.
  • Experience with process control in cleanroom environments for opto‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fabrication process development, ECOs, and training to maintain production yield and quality.
  • Interface with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
  • Drive cost reduction and implement robust process controls for high‑quality products.
  • Direct day‑to‑day manufacturing tasks and support procurement, tooling, and equipment planning.
  • Plan and support build/modification of electronics systems; resolve manufacturing, quality and reliability issues.

This is part of our Optical and Photonics Systems Division, we specialize in the design, development, and manufacturing of complex, state-of-the-art communications systems for military, space, and commercial applications. **Responsibilities:*** Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality and cleanliness.* Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.* Drive cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers.* Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks.* Actively thinking and acting independently to propose or translate ideas and new concepts into tangible results of processes.* Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality and reliability issues.* Ability to work third shift, Friday to Monday from 7:00AM - 5:30PM.**Qualifications:***Required:** Bachelor’s Degree in ME, EE or OE and a minimum of 3 years or an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years or equivalent combination of education and experience of working in Optics Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar industrial field.* Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation protocol, and process control for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical assembly.* Proven technical acumen in the manufacture, test and integration of complex product technologies and systems, DoD or Space.* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.* Excellent communication and ability to work well in team environment with people at all levels.* Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance*Desired:** Knowledge of MIL/IPC workmanship and performance standards related to electronic assemblies IPC-610, IPC-620, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-883, NASA Spec.* Manufacturing Execution System experience-**What You Can Expect:****A culture of integrity.**At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
