  • Troubleshoot machine and program issues, and request repairs when needed, to minimize downtime.
  • Create setup instruction sheets and cutter lists, and work with engineering and leadership to develop simpler setup methods that cut setup time on complex jobs.
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and needs at shift handoff so work continues smoothly across shifts.

  • Performs duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to company Code of Ethics.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' machinist experience operating CNC machines, gained through an apprenticeship, on the job, or technical or vocational training.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience writing and editing advanced CNC programs.
  • Able to program and operate multi-axis CNC machines (4 or more axes), including the site's most complex equipment.
  • Experience programming and operating Swiss-style lathes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CNC programming and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software; experience with Esprit a plus.
  • Able to read engineering drawings, including standard and geometric tolerances (GD&T).
  • Able to use shop math and precision measuring tools (e.g., gages, Faro Arm).
  • Able to solve complex problems and work with limited direction, using analytical judgment and initiative.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, including working with engineering and leadership.
