Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Greencastle, Indiana is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and adjusting production equipment to keep lines running smoothly.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist QA and Engineering, and help manage parts and documentation. The position requires reading electrical/mechanical prints, basic software skills, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and adjust production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs), audits, and document findings.
• Make machine adjustments per QA requests to meet production and quality standards.
• Assist Engineering with building, maintaining, setting up, and improving production lines.
• Respond to floor calls and provide maintenance support to minimize downtime.
• Investigate equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with developing and maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Complete work orders and document time worked, following safety and environmental procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Details: Job Location: 2200 SR 240 EAST - GREENCASTLE, IN 46135, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly, Job Shift: 1st Shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and adjust production equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs), conduct equipment audits, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Make machine adjustments as requested by Quality Assurance (QA) to meet production and quality standards.
• Assist Engineering with building, maintaining, setting up, and improving production lines.
• Respond to production floor calls and provide maintenance support to minimize downtime.
• Investigate equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
• Assist with developing and maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Complete assigned work orders, accurately document time worked, and follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, and work around industrial equipment.
• Willingness to work around moving machinery, noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals while wearing required PPE.
