Job summary

Virnig Manufacturing, Inc. in Fort Madison, IA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the startup of a new operation. You will install and startup manufacturing equipment and processes, and provide hands-on support to the production team.

You will continually support Operations by improving and troubleshooting processes and equipment, developing new processes, and sourcing and implementing new automation. A strong work ethic, teamwork, and hands-on skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing engineering environment with exposure to quality control processes.
• Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, improve and document manufacturing processes.
• Audit manufacturing process flows for safety, quality, delivery and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with management and design engineering on tooling and production methods.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Develop and maintain project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure factory floor efficiency.
