Overview

About Arsenal-1: Anduril is building Arsenal-1, a hyperscale manufacturing facility south of Columbus, Ohio in Pickaway County, to scale autonomous systems production for the U.S. and allies.

The Product

The Roadrunner product is a VTOL counter-UAS interceptor designed for autonomous air defense operations, capable of detecting, tracking and neutralizing hostile unmanned aircraft systems.

The Team

The Roadrunner Team (RLT) will set standards at Arsenal-1 in Ashville, OH and will train at Anduril HQ in Costa Mesa, CA for 3 months before returning to Ohio.

The Job

This role orchestrates the industrialization of Roadrunner. You will own the manufacturing value-chain from current rate to high-volume deployment, including driving design for manufacturability feedback, tool design and selection, creating and optimizing high-rate production lines, fostering vendor partnerships, embedding robust quality assurance, and documenting build processes. If you thrive under scaling a critical product with immediate impact, you will help build the next generation of Roadrunner products.

What You\'ll Do

• Execute manufacturing of a product or set of products from prototyping through large-scale production.
• Collaborate with design engineers to drive design for manufacturing and transition from design to prototype to rate production.
• Act as a manufacturing liaison for mechanical fabrication and avionics with expertise in design for manufacturability.
• Own documentation for manufacturing hardware at scale (MBOMs, work instructions, requirements, etc.).
• Advise on quality management and manufacturing-related programs.
• Collaborate with internal customers and planning teams to define capacity actions to meet customer needs.
• Analyze metrics for continuous improvement (cost reduction, quality improvements, capacity).
• Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the manufacturing engineering team.
• Develop production and test methodologies to enable scaling for larger, more complex products.
• Travel to suppliers and partner sites to perform initial sourcing, resolve production issues, and implement processes.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field (engineering, math, or a hard science) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments.
• Strong focus on mission assurance, quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
• Genuine interest in manufacturing and a desire to learn.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required by critical priorities.
• Regular travel between locations is essential.
• U.S. Citizen required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to aircraft programs or aerospace & defense technologies.
• Software scripting experience in any language.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent standards.

Compensation and Benefits

US Salary Range: $99,000—$131,000 USD.
