Job summary

Rolls-Royce Corporation in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Manufacturing Engineer – Purchasing (MEP) for Supplier Designed Components. The role is full-time, hybrid (3 office days per week) with travel up to 30% domestically, focusing on external supply chain manufacturing activities to meet quality, cost and delivery targets.

• Associate or higher degree in Engineering, Technology or Business with relevant manufacturing/ purchasing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in Operations, Manufacturing, Quality or Purchasing.
• Master’s/JD/PhD consideration or 6+ years experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing input to design for manufacturability and supplier events.
• Represent manufacturing sourcing strategy for components.
• Collaborate with Procurement & Quality to onboard new suppliers.
• Develop supplier readiness and risk assessments for manufacturing.
• Support suppliers on quality requirements (APQP, FAIR, PPAP; drawing changes).
• Perform supplier hardware delivery source inspections.
• Foster continuous improvement with best-practice sharing.
