Job summary

Htprof is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems, coordinating with design teams to refine products and reduce costs.

The role focuses on developing BOMs, routings, production standards, and engineering controls, while supporting tooling and process development across machinists and suppliers. A bachelor's degree and 3+ years in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with tooling design.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and Mastercam.
• At least one year of experience with resistance welding.
• Experience with hot and cold forming, heat treatment, precision machining, and CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data for cost structures, BOMs, routings, and item masters.
• Create and maintain BOMs and manufacturing routings in BPCS.
• Develop and maintain engineering policies for BOMs, ECNs, and process standards.
• Develop routings for current and standard products and support new process development.
• Provide design support aligning products with cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Research materials and suppliers to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate on new process development initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with shop, maintenance, and materials teams to resolve issues.
• Review installations for ergonomic improvements and optimizations.
• Match products to existing processes to maximize capital equipment use.
• Develop and maintain production standards.
• Maintain engineering documentation and records.
• Provide production-floor support during test runs and debugging.
• Apply tool-design concepts for forming and bending of steel products.
• Shift quickly to support urgent equipment breakdowns and restore production.
