Job summary

Timberline Manufacturing in Marion, IA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive production, testing and quality initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement and rapid issue resolution.

You will design test programs for wire harness and panel assemblies, develop work instructions, and collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and vendors to resolve issues. A 4-year engineering degree and 1–2 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree in a related engineering field and 1–2 years of experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings for wire harness and panel assemblies.
• Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Arcadia.
• Familiarity with CNC programming basics and ASME standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions related to production, testing, and quality initiatives while prioritizing schedules.
• Design testing programs, fixtures, adapters, and procedures for harness and panel testing.
• Lead or support process improvement and defect reduction projects for control panel and wire harness assemblies.
• Create process documents, methods, instructions, and reference materials using various software tools.
• Interpret data and customer specifications to create work instructions for harness and panel assembly.
• Coordinate daily tasks with engineering resources and support; collaborate with outside vendors.
