Job summary

Humanetics Group in Ohio seeks a skilled Process Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate assembly and test processes in our manufacturing operations. You will identify improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency while developing procedures, fixtures, and routings to support production goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; five years’ experience in mechanical assembly and lab testing, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing assembly, manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes.
  • Ability to use data and statistics to evaluate performance and forecast needs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Develop, evaluate, document, and optimize assembly, manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes.
  • Develop test procedures, instrumentation, software setups, fixtures, tooling, programs, and product routings.
  • Analyze production performance, failures, test variability, material performance, workflow, staffing, equipment, and space utilization.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Design, Management, and vendors to support product development and efficient production methods.
  • Define inspection and quality processes that meet requirements while remaining cost effective.
  • Estimate production times, staffing needs, equipment requirements, and costs to support planning and management decisions.
