Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support production excellence through process validation, cycle time analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with production, quality, logistics, and planning teams to ensure efficient, standardized processes aligned with operational goals.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing, conducts time studies, and applies data-driven improvements using SAP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and industrial engineering principles.
Experience conducting cycle time analyses, time studies.
Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma preferred.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct shop floor observations to evaluate production execution and verify processes.
Perform cycle time studies and validate operational cycle times against standards.
Analyze gaps between planned and actual cycle times, identify root causes.
Use Pareto analysis to prioritize improvements and quantify gaps.
Develop corrective action plans to address cycle time losses.
Identify non-value-added activities to reduce waste and increase throughput.
Maintain manufacturing routing data, cycle times, and SAP data.
Support data analysis for industrial performance assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and quality.
