Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. invites skilled Manufacturing Engineers to join our global leader in high-density fiber-optic connector solutions in Hickory, NC. You will design molds and molding processes, optimize manufacturing systems, and lead continuous-improvement initiatives to support existing and new products.

The role emphasizes precision engineering, metrology, and collaboration with production teams. A bachelor's in engineering and strong problem-solving skills are required, with relocation support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or related engineering field.
• Solid understanding of DOE/Measurement R&R/SPC to guide processes.
• Working knowledge of machining, tooling, fixturing, and assembly practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop injection molds, molding processes, manufacturing systems and techniques.
• Identify and implement system/process improvements and cost-reduction projects.
• Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation (work instructions, data sheets).
• Develop and perform tight-tolerance measurement methods to meet specifications.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to production operations and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Procure new equipment and training; coordinate repairs for manufacturing machinery.
• Analyze customer returns to determine root causes of failures or complaints.
• Lead and mentor Process Technicians and hourly associates on assigned projects.
• Deliver process and equipment training to production staff.
