Job summary

ASC Process Systems, Inc. is seeking a CAD designer to create and revise 2-D and 3-D schematics for mechanical equipment, using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

You will assist in lifting plan development and contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing methods. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, a technical degree or 1 year of related experience, and strong communication with management, coworkers, customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Proficient use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Technical degree or 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, customers and vendors.
• Regular use of computer and email for communication.

Responsibilities

• Create drawings/designs based on production needs.
• Assist with developing lifting plans.
• Assist in continuous improvement of manufacturing methods.
• Generates and revises 2-D and 3-D schematics for mechanical equipment using AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Analyzes as-built fabrication drawings to determine if revisions are warranted and implements changes.
• Follow and process quality control procedures including CNs, NCRs and ASME related tasks.
• Creates Bill of Materials on design drawings and in OMS database.
• Coordinates with departments to facilitate timely, cost-efficient design and fabrication of products.

• Follows and processes quality control procedures including CNs NCRs and ASME related tasks.
• Creates Bill of Material on design drawings and in company’s OMS data base.
• Coordinates with and assists various departments to facility timely cost-efficient and accurate design and fabrication of products.
