Emerald Technologies in White City, OR is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the PCBA and electromechanical assembly processes, driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will develop MPIs, troubleshoot defects, and support lean initiatives while coordinating with customers on DFx and product releases. A relevant engineering degree and strong documentation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in printed circuit assembly and mechanical assemblies; EMS/contract manufacturing preferred.
• Strong ability to read drawings and follow detailed technical instructions.
• Self-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communicator and problem-solver with solid organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and maintain MPIs for electromechanical assemblies.
• Troubleshoot process defects and drive toward problem resolution.
• Attend quality meetings and drive quality issues for improved yields.
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Identify cost‑saving ideas and implement manufacturing improvements to boost production efficiency.
• Recommend tooling and process requirements for current and new product lines.
• Collaborate with customers on DFM/DFA and product release to the factory.
• Assist in quoting by outlining steps, time elements, and tooling needs.
• Champion 5S and lean principles within a cellular manufacturing environment.
