Job summary

CNH Industrial in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the paint department and assembly line. The role focuses on ensuring the paint system performs optimally and improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and safety by analyzing current methods and pursuing new technologies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in assembly manufacturing engineering, especially with powder coat paint systems, and strong project leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of assembly manufacturing engineering experience in heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Powder Coat paint systems and paint system performance monitoring with corrective action.
  • 3+ years project management or shop leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors paint system performance and painted part quality. Troubleshoot issues and ensure robust corrective actions.
  • Utilize PFMEA and other engineering tools to analyze anomalies and engineer robust solutions.
  • Maintain ECO change management and ensure new and revised parts are correctly routed and costed in the MRP system.
  • Assist with new machine launch and assembly reconfiguration inclusive of station layout, new equipment procurement, logistics flows, shop signaling and quality overlays for robust assembly operations.
  • Develops, designs and plans equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities.
  • Evaluates worker productivity and recommends improvements to increase manpower efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions.
  • Develops metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity output and identify equipment and process bottlenecks.
  • Establishes accident prevention measures, and plans and schedules training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operation and ensures compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
  • Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources, and structural design.
  • Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvement.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
