Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes. You will collaborate with designers to refine products for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and reliable production.

Role requires 3+ years in manufacturing, strong tooling experience, and proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and Mastercam. Expect close coordination with Machine Shop and Materials teams to resolve production issues on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years’ engineering experience in manufacturing settings.
• Experience with tooling design and BOM/routings in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and Mastercam.
• Experience with resistance welding and CNC machining is preferred.
• Knowledge of forming, heat treatment, and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Gather data to develop cost structures, BOMs, routings, and item masters.
• Create and maintain BOMs and manufacturing routings in systems.
• Develop policies for BOMs, work centers, ECNs, and process standards.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to optimize manufacturability.
• Support production floors during tests and debugging.
• Ensure ergonomic best practices in installations and processes.
• Maintain production standards and engineering documentation.
