Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager oversees manufacturing engineering activities within the facility, ensuring products meet quality standards, production schedules, and cost objectives. This role collaborates across departments to improve manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead, manage, and develop the manufacturing engineering team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training for success and growth.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to develop new products or processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards to maintain a safe, environmentally friendly workplace.
  • Manage the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring resource optimization and cost control.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and optimize production output.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • Understanding of electronic device operation and manufacturing is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in manufacturing engineering management.
  • 5-10 years in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
