Job Description

The Manager, Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for leading and managing a team of manufacturing engineers, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high quality, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for a manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee manufacturing engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and implement the departmental budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Production) to achieve production goals.
  • Innovation: Encourage and support innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Typically has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization
  • 5 + years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
  • Strong collaboration delivering exceptional business
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Proven experience in meeting required Manufacturing Engineering goals
