Growth Opportunity:

This role is a critical component of the organization's long-term succession plan. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to step into a Manager or Director-level position within 1-2 years, based on performance and organizational readiness. This is a high-impact leadership role with significant visibility and growth potential.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a technically skilled and strategically minded engineering leader to strengthen our technical bench and elevate our production capabilities. This individual must not only possess deep technical knowledge but also bring hands-on experience in designing, installing, and validating complex manufacturing and packaging systems. Experience with pasteurization processes is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the design, installation, startup, and commissioning of new manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Set up and optimize production lines, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Develop and execute equipment validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and modified systems.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and fine-tune machinery to ensure operational readiness and high-quality output.
  • Collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams (maintenance, QA, R&D, operations) to ensure seamless process integration and alignment with strategic initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on automation, throughput, and line flexibility while mentoring team members and building a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with FDA regulations and support all regulatory audits or certifications as needed.
  • Lead and develop engineering or technical teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.

Preferred Equipment/Process Experience:

  • Liquid filling, powder dosing, and stick pack, gusseted bag, or canister packaging.
  • Familiarity with high-speed packaging and automated production lines.
  • Experience with pasteurization systems and heat-based microbial reduction methods (strongly preferred).
  • Background in personal care product manufacturing (e.g., body wash, shampoos) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and FDA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (required).
  • 7-10 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
  • Proven leadership or management experience at the Senior Manager or Director level, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong background in automation systems; PLC/SCADA integration experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in commissioning new equipment and validating production processes in FDA-regulated industries (nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, or cosmetics).
  • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
