Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, MS seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Machining to develop and optimize processes for engine components, review designs for manufacturability, and lead tooling and process improvements. You will collaborate across teams to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will create and maintain SOPs/PFMEAs, drive continuous improvement, and ensure ISO-aligned controls while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Requisition Summary

This position will be responsible for the development, management, and coordination of technical training throughout the PACCAR Engine Plant in Columbus MS. The Technical Training Coordinate will be responsible for interfacing with Department Manager to identify technical training gaps and working with external organizations to meet training and development needs. This position will also support continued development of (diesel, craft tech, etc.) programs.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Review New Product Designs for Manufacturability
• Provide Production Impact and Cost Analysis for New Product Designs
• Develop and refine processes for new product launch
• Create or update SOPs, PFMEAs, and Layouts for new product
• Maintain and report status of schedule for projects
• Specify and procure necessary tools and equipment to support new products
• Actively participate in simultaneous engineering for new product developmentprojects
• Plan, define and implement the related equipment changes within the giventime frame of the project
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers for modifications to be outsourced
• Define equipment modifications with flexibility for future design and volumeexpansion
• Use best practices from the Manufacturing Engineering group
• Update control documents per ISO requirements for new product
• Designs and implement shop aids and fixtures

Qualifications & Skills Required

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or Technical 4 year degree (STEM)
• Proven problem-solving skills
