Job summary

General Motors Company in Lockport, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support machine troubleshooting, ongoing improvement projects, and problem solving on heat exchanger process equipment. You will lead root-cause analysis, create maintenance documentation, and support control plans, PFMEA, and equipment drawings in a collaborative, onsite team environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with experience in troubleshooting and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to resolve quality issues and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns.
• Experience leading projects and defining scopes of work for maintenance teams.
• Ability to support off-shifts and weekends as needed by the business.

The Role

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings.
• Design Software: Proficiency using SolidWorks.
• Union Environment: Experience working collaboratively in a unionized facility.

Compensation

The expected base compensation for this role is: $80,200.00 - $125,900.00 USD Annual . Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
