Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing and remanufacturing processes at the SSI Philadelphia Distribution & DOC. The role focuses on aftermarket parts production and complete lift truck rebuilding, with emphasis on efficiency and quality.

The position requires a BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and experience with CAD, ERP/MRP systems, and data analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Industrial Engineering (BSIE).
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training is preferred.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes for parts production and refurbishment.
Evaluate and improve methods, workflow, tooling, and material handling systems.
Develop standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
Coordinate process improvements with Production Supervision and Operations personnel.
Support ERP system integration with manufacturing operations and create routings/BOMs.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects; perform root cause analysis.
Collect and analyze operational data and develop performance metrics.
