Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing and remanufacturing processes at the SSI Philadelphia Distribution & DOC. The role focuses on aftermarket parts production and complete lift truck rebuilding, with emphasis on efficiency and quality.

The position requires a BS degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and experience with CAD, ERP/MRP systems, and data analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Industrial Engineering (BSIE).
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes for parts production and refurbishment.
  • Evaluate and improve methods, workflow, tooling, and material handling systems.
  • Develop standardized work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
  • Coordinate process improvements with Production Supervision and Operations personnel.
  • Support ERP system integration with manufacturing operations and create routings/BOMs.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects; perform root cause analysis.
  • Collect and analyze operational data and develop performance metrics.
