Job summary

Actalent, a global engineering services firm, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, maintain, and audit manufacturing and assembly processes in Reading, PA. The role emphasizes safer, more reliable, and cost-effective fabrication and finishing operations.

You will design tooling, fixtures, and gauges; collaborate across departments; and train technicians and operations staff. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling, MS Office, and lean manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
• Experience with production tooling, gauges, jigs, fixtures.
• Experience with sheet metal technologies: fabrication, finishing, welding, material handling.
• Experience with DFM and DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and audit manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Advance operations by evaluating fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
• Implement safer, more repeatable, and cost-effective processes.
• Design and develop production tooling, gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
• Collaborate with multiple departments in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Oversee and train technicians and operations personnel.
