Job summary

Our client, a leader in the automotive manufacturing industry, seeks a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Mebane, North Carolina. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational excellence while supporting safety and quality initiatives.

The candidate will develop methods to reduce setup times, modify processes for efficiency, manage capital projects, lead Kaizen activities, and collaborate across departments to implement effective

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering required.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and automation.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with Lean Enterprise principles.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, MS Project, MfgPro, and Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup and changeover times for manufacturing equipment.
• Modify manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, and cost efficiency, implementing design changes as needed.
• Manage capital projects, including equipment specification, installation, and coordination with outside contractors.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen activities, and document results to track progress.
• Collaborate across departments to identify process shortcomings and implement effective solutions using established change management practices.
