International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Lead for the S13 Assembly in our Huntsville Engine Plant. The role focuses on leading manufacturing processes, implementing changes, and ensuring safe, efficient production on the floor.

The candidate will design production flows, benchmark processes, and drive capital projects while coordinating with cross-functional teams. Strong CAD skills and MES/ERP familiarity are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturing.
  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturing.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line to meet customer demand.
  • React to equipment uptime issues and drive permanent, cost-effective solutions.
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment.
  • Standardize manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities.
  • Assist in achieving plant quality and production objectives.
  • Lead engineering changes and new program developments.
  • Perform product/process analysis for safety, ergonomics, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Initiate and pursue capital appropriation projects.
  • This role involves long periods of on-floor standing.

Manufacturing Engineer Lead – S13 Assembly

International is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer Lead – S13 Assembly to join our Huntsville Engine Plant.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities
  • Support S13 Diesel Engine Assembly Line in day-to-day production activities to help meet customer product demand
  • React to equipment uptime issues and drive towards permanent, cost-effective and long-term solutions
  • Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
  • Standardizes manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities’ manufacturing processes
  • Assist in the accomplishment of plant quality and production objectives
  • Lead implementation of engineering changes and variations from design specifications as well as new program developments
  • Perform product/process analysis for safety/ergonomics, quality improvement and improved efficiency
  • Initiate, develop, and pursue capital appropriation projects
  • This position is an active on the floor support position which could entail standing for long periods of time
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in product manufacturing

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience in product manufacturing

OR

  • At least 5 years of experience in product manufacturing
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
  • Strong CAD experience, AutoCAD and NX Team Center preferred
  • Ability to design and implement 3D printed tools and fixtures
  • Familiarity with assembly tools including Atlas Copco DC torque tools, Camera Vision Systems, AGV’s, etc.
  • Must be proficient in computer usage including MS Office.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and processes including 8D Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, etc.
  • Must have thorough mechanical understanding of machines, tools, vehicles, and their design
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Must be able to work well in a dynamic manufacturing environment with positive attitude, ethics, and International Values
  • Must demonstrate advanced reasoning skills, problem sensitivity, and data analysis
  • Must have advanced mathematical skills; be able to use engineering judgment and critical thinking
  • Must demonstrate ability to be self-directed
