Job summary
Little Rapids Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at the Larsen Road Facility to support process engineering, continuous improvement and equipment optimization on the shop floor.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets, and develop work instructions and layouts while gaining hands-on experience with CAD tools and ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial technology, operations management, or related field required.
- Experience with CI / Lean tools and methodologies, Green or Black belt preferred.
- Experience with ISO9001 and FDA environment is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or converting is preferred.
- Proficient with SolidWorks or CAD software.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- JDE, SAP or similar experience helpful.
Responsibilities
- Complete process equipment projects on the shop floor and optimize layout and workflow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve productivity.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets.
- Develop work instructions, routings, and capital project support.
