Job summary

The Toro Company in Beatrice, NE invites energetic students to join its Summer Internship Program for 2027. The internship runs May 17 to August 6, with an expected hourly rate of $22–$28 and hands-on exposure to lean manufacturing, time standards, and new methods.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain practical experience in assembly, welding, and safety improvements, and develop problem-solving and project-management skills in a real-world operations environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new concepts.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Problem solving acumen and structured thinking.
• Experience with MS Office, CAD software, and Test Instrumentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains engineered time standards for direct labor operations.
• Establishes methods and processes for assembly, welding, paint line and related material handling on new products and equipment.
• Works with department supervisors and value stream manufacturing engineers with implementation of new methods and processes.
• Makes recommendations for improving safety, quality, or productivity activities.
• Implements proper ergonomics in work station setup, processes, tooling and safety equipment.
• Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved.
