You will design fixtures, update drawings for manufacturability, participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, and perform inspections to root-cause issues while gathering data for new

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or related field, required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret manufacturing and engineering documents.
• Formalized training or experience in 'design for manufacturing' preferred.
• Formalized training or experience in 3D modeling and drafting (Solidworks Preferred).
• Must be team oriented and possess strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design manufacturing aids such as weld fixtures, assembly fixtures, and material handling devices.
• Update Engineering Designs and Drawings to improve product manufacturability.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects that improve Safety, Quality or Efficiency.
• Perform inspections on production parts and fixtures to determine root cause of issues and validate design tolerances.
• Gather data for problem solving and new process development projects.
