What You'll Do

Manufacturing & Process Engineering

• Provide advanced technical support forinjection molding operations, including machine capability, mold capability, material processing, process control, and auxiliary equipment.
• Serve as an advanced troubleshooter for machine, tooling, process, material, and other production-related issues.
• Identify root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to improve manufacturing performance.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing

• Identify, recommend, and execute continuous improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
• Lead or support initiatives focused on:
  • Cycle time reduction
  • Scrap reduction
  • Preventive action / Red Tag reduction
  • Direct labor reduction
  • SMED and capacity improvement
  • Workflow and productivity improvements
• Develop and improve work-cell layouts usingergonomics, Lean manufacturing principles, and process-flow analysis.
• Quantify the financial and operational impact of improvement projects, including customer-driven initiatives.

New Product Introduction & Equipment

• Represent Manufacturing onNew Product Introduction (NPI)and product development teams.
• ProvideDesign for Manufacturability (DFM)expertise to ensure new products can be efficiently and consistently manufactured.
• Partner with Engineering during new project development and assist with the transition of new equipment and processes from Engineering to Operations.
• Assist with the installation, startup, setup, and operation of new equipment and automation.
• Train and support operations personnel on new equipment, automation, processes, and work-cell requirements.

Quality & Customer Support

• Provide manufacturing, process, machine, and material expertise when investigating customer complaints.
• Develop and implement preventive actions to address manufacturing-related quality issues.
• Work directly with customer representatives when needed to understand requirements and thevoice of the customer.
• Maintain accurate project and process documentation in accordance with company specifications and procedures.
