Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Injection Molding for Starlink to sustain existing plastic injection molding lines and ramp new lines to high-volume production for millions of devices that will sit in customers’ homes.

You will define process flows, validate molding parameters, perform DOE experiments, and drive robust yields in a fast-paced, aerospace-inspired environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics is required.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment or related experience.
• Direct experience with plastic injection molding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop plastic injection molding manufacturing processes for Starlink hardware.
• Optimize injection molding parameters via DOE and trials to robustize the process.
• Implement plug-and-play production capable of high volume throughput.
• Take ownership of production layout optimizing material flow from receiving to line.
• Identify and implement safety improvement projects.
• Manage tooling, inventory, training, and build process per latest design config.
• Drive DFT/DFM with design and test engineers.
• Identify and evaluate automation ROI and opportunities.
• Collaborate with vendors or in-house teams to implement solutions on the line.
• Support production line with technical issues as needed.
