Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Process Industrialization engineer to drive the standard method for developing and industrializing manufacturing processes. This role moves processes from development to production, coordinating handoffs, post-deployment support, and problem solving to finish the industrialization into full production for internal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute team demands and roadmap initiatives using technical disciplines and analytical thinking.
  • Execute handoffs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; include lead time, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets.
  • Develop new products and processes and enable a successful hand-off to the production team.
  • Support project timelines to meet customer needs with a focus on safety, process quality, qualifications, and problem solving.
  • Support problem solving post deployment.
  • Identify and eliminate waste; engineer, standardize, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in productivity efforts supporting cost competitiveness; apply lean principles.
  • Incorporate kaizen activities and collaborate with wider team on breakthrough initiatives.

What impact you’ll make

As a member of the Process Industrialization team, you will be an active contributor to create, maintain, and execute the standard in how to develop and industrialize manufacturing processes using a team-based approach. This role executes steps to move process from development to production; driving the hand off process, post deployment support, and problem solving to finish the industrialization of a process into full production. Focus is on meeting the needs of the production teams as internal customers.

Job Description
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of technical disciplines, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute team demands and roadmap initiatives

  • Executes hand offs for new product introductions, part and technology transfers, new process introductions, and strategic plant and equipment investments; inclusive of lead time, technology selection, tooling, fixturing, programming, quality plan, and run-off of initial production sets

  • Execute hands-on development of new products and processes enabling a successful hand-off to the production team

  • Supports project timelines to meet customer needs with a strong focus on safety, process quality, qualifications, and problem solving

  • Support problem solving post deployment

  • Strong ability to identify and eliminate waste

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 4 additional years of experience in Production Process and Equipment

  • Ability and desire to work on site in a manufacturing environment
