Job summary

RTX is seeking an on-site Operations Engineer to support the Circuit Card Assembly Factory in Andover, MA. You will help operate Wave Solder, Selective Solder, Router and Mechanical Assembly lines and drive automation, process improvement and cost reduction.

The role requires a STEM degree, at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support Wave Solder, Selective Solder, Router and Mechanical Assembly lines.
• Oversee automated and programmable equipment for multiple products.
• Lead process improvement, cycle time reduction and defect prevention initiatives.
• Participate in lean manufacturing projects and establish process baselines.
• Discipline in safety and ergonomic assessments, and data-driven problem solving.
• Coordinate with senior personnel and suppliers on technical matters.
• Develop tools and fixtures to reduce cost and improve ergonomics.
