Manufacturing Engineer II - Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer II supports the Medical Plastic Injection Molding Manufacturing organization by ensuring efficient operations, optimizing processes, and meeting production goals.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate and complete technical activities to develop new or improved products and processes, aligning with strategic goals.
  • Analyze and solve complex engineering problems using innovative approaches or breakthrough technologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications, purchase equipment, and evaluate products for quality standards.
  • Lead installation, debugging, validation, and training for new work cells, including acceptance testing of new equipment and automation.
  • Create and maintain device routers/BOMs and manufacturing procedures.
  • Design, coordinate fabrication, and implement process fixturing, automation, EOAT, vision systems, and gauges.
  • Resolve non-conformances and participate in Material Review Board activities.
  • Map and analyze processes, assess efficiency, and lead complex projects.
  • Oversee equipment installation, modifications, training, and preventative maintenance development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in injection molding, preferably in medical molding and cleanroom environments.
  • Experience in medical devices required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process design, validation, DOE, IQ-PQ validations.
  • Design experience with manufacturing equipment and fixtures/gauges.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing, statistical analysis, and 5S.
  • Experience with manufacturing automation, including visual inspection, PLC programming, and testing.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., ProE, Unigraphics, SolidWorks).
  • High energy, accountability, and integrity.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel overnight by land or air.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Pay Range

USD $80,000 - USD $95,000 per year.
