Summary

Manufacturing Engineer II Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer II provides support to the Medical Plastic Injection Molding Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes for current and next-generation programs, meeting strategic goals.
  • Analyze and solve problems using engineering principles, theories, and concepts, including complex and innovative approaches.
  • Consult with vendors on product specifications, purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to standards.
  • Lead installation, debugging, validation, and training of new work cells, including acceptance testing of new equipment and automation.
  • Create, maintain, and approve device routers/BOMs and manufacturing procedures.
  • Design, coordinate fabrication, and implement process fixtures, equipment, automation, EOAT, vision systems, and gauges.
  • Resolve non-conformances and participate in Material Review Board activities.
  • Analyze and map processes to assess efficiency and implement complex projects.
  • Oversee equipment installation, modifications, training, and preventative maintenance development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial)
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in injection molding manufacturing, preferably in medical molding and cleanroom operations.
  • Experience in medical devices required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process design, validation, DOE, IQ-PQ validations.
  • Experience in manufacturing equipment and fixture/gage design.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, statistical analysis, and 5S.
  • Experience with manufacturing automation, including visual inspection, PLC programming, packaging development, testing, and approval.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., ProE, Unigraphics, SolidWorks).
  • High energy, accountability, integrity, and ability to handle ambiguity and multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail.

Pay Range
USD $73,600.00 - USD $92,000.00 /Yr.
