Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) in the United States is seeking an engineer to plan, design, and construct manufacturing facilities, evaluating location, materials, resources and layout to improve efficiency and production flow.

You will analyze production times, staffing needs, and costs while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure design conformity, quality standards, and timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience.
• Engineering degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods to meet specs.
• Plans workforce utilization, space needs, and workflow for efficiency.
• Determines parts, tools, and processes to reach manufacturing goals.
• Estimates production times, staffing, and costs for management decisions.
• Communicates capabilities, schedules, and information to production teams.
• Confers with vendors to define product specs and equipment needs.
