Job summary

TE Connectivity in Jonestown, PA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II (Controls Engineer) to join the PMO Systems and Data team. You will develop analytics, dashboards, and automated processes that improve project visibility and governance across Planisware, Denodo, and Power BI.

The role emphasizes partnering with PMO leaders and engineers to translate requirements into scalable data solutions, build repeatable workflows, and deliver reliable reporting to drive cadence and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of BI, analytics, reporting, automation, or PMO systems experience.
  • Experience building dashboards with Power BI or similar enterprise tools.
  • Hands-on SQL and relational database experience.
  • Advanced Excel and data transformation skills (Power Query).
  • Strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Overview

The Digital Data Networks business operates in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The Project Management Office (PMO) provides governance, systems, reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement capabilities that support timely decisions.

The PMO Systems and Process team supports the tools, data, and processes used to improve project visibility, execution, resource planning, gate compliance, and portfolio performance.

Position Scope and Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst, PMO Systems, Data and Automation develops reliable analytics, expands Planisware reporting, and automates repeatable PMO processes. This hands‑on individual contributor increases the PMO’s capacity to deliver timely solutions while strengthening continuity for critical reporting, data, and system capabilities. The position partners with PMO leaders, project managers, engineering teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

  • Deliver Power BI dashboards and analytics that provide clear, actionable insights into project and portfolio performance.
  • Expand Planisware and Planisware Explorer reporting to improve access to reliable, reusable project information.
  • Automate PMO workflows, notifications, and data controls to reduce manual effort and improve process timeliness and accuracy.
Strategy

The successful candidate will:

  • Partner with PMO and business leaders to define priorities for reporting, analytics, workflow automation, and digital process improvement.
  • Translate business questions and stakeholder requirements into clear data, reporting, and system solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate PMO processes, notifications, and compliance controls.
  • Contribute to scalable reporting architecture and governance across Planisware, Denodo, Power BI, SharePoint, and related data sources.
  • Evaluate practical AI and automation applications while maintaining appropriate data quality, access, and process controls.
Execution

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for project, portfolio, resource, schedule, milestone, and governance performance.
  • Develop Planisware reports and dashboards, including Planisware Explorer solutions, using relational data, SQL, scripting, or equivalent methods.
  • Use Denodo, SQL, Power Query, and other approved tools to connect, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Automate workflows, notifications, data checks, and administrative processes using Power Automate, Power Apps, or other approved technologies.
  • Build data‑quality controls and reconciliation methods that improve the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of PMO information.
  • Analyze trends, risks, and performance drivers and present concise, actionable insights to PMO and engineering leadership.
  • Prioritize analytics, system, and reporting requests and communicate status, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Document dashboards, data models, workflows, and reporting processes to enable sustainable support and cross‑training.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using the TE Operating Advantage framework and structured problem‑solving methods.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, information systems, data analytics, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, automation, PMO systems, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing dashboards and analytics using Power BI or a comparable enterprise reporting platform.
  • Hands‑on experience with relational databases and SQL or a comparable query language.
  • Advanced Excel and data‑transformation skills, including experience with large datasets and Power Query or equivalent tools.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into reporting, data, system, or process solutions.
  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions, geographies, and time zones.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Planisware, Planisware Explorer, or another enterprise project and portfolio management platform.
  • Experience with Denodo VQL, data virtualization, or enterprise data‑lake environments.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Access, VBA, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, or comparable tools.
  • Experience supporting a PMO, engineering organization, new product development environment, or stage‑gate process.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, TEOA, PMP, or a comparable continuous improvement or project management certification.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $85,400-106,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
