Job summary

Marc Jacobs International, LLC seeks an Engineer to support manufacturing in the Medical Devices sector. Requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, two years’ exposure, and bilingual Spanish/English. You will design layouts, validate processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on 1st shift.

As a FITS team member, you will assist in compliant production, investigations, root cause analysis, and technical writing to improve product quality. We value teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required for Biomedical/Medical Devices sector.
• Two years of exposure within the Medical Devices Industry.
• Bilingual Spanish and English for cross-functional collaboration.
• Soft skills include excellent teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
• Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure efficient layout.
• Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment.
• Adapts design to factory/production conditions; may include inspection/test requirements.
• Inspects performance of machinery and initiates corrective action to ensure quality.
• Develops processes applicable to statistical process control.
• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specs.
• Ensures processes and procedures comply with regulations.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
• Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
• Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
• Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
• Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
• Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
