Doosan Bobcat is seeking a manufacturing process engineer to advise on methods and materials, optimizing safety, quality, and cost across manufacturing operations. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience with Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze time and motion, methods, and plant layout to meet demand.
  • Define factory processes, systems, equipment, and materials with cost/quality impact.
  • Recommend changes and justify capital investments for new processes.
  • Prepare and train shop-floor personnel on product and process changes.
  • Track requisitions, POs, and MBOM/routings management.
  • Review designs for manufacturability and DFMA guidance.
  • Produce, publish, and vault documentation for tools and costs.
  • Assist engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing in problem-solving activities.

Job Information
  • To work in an advisory capacity to manufacturing, engineering, and/or purchasing departments using knowledge of methods and materials in specialized field or general manufacturingin order tooptimize safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.
Role & Responsibility

Process Analysis

  • Analysis of time and motion, methods, estimating, process engineering and plant layout for assigned area to ensure balanced methods and available capacity to meet customer demand.
  • Specify factory manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials in terms of their associated cost, time, ergonomic, quality, and quantity factors.
  • Recommend changes, prepare capital justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials to contribute to the site’s short more effectively- and long-term economic objectives.
  • Write and distribute manufacturing changes and associated operating work instructions to all affected personnel on the shop floor as well as training operators on the product and process changes.
  • Prepare evaluations of, and justification for, the procurement of new machines and equipment. Select and order equipment, oversee its installation and help train employees in the proper use of the equipment.
  • Track requisitions and purchase orders as well as your subordinate's requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Manage routings and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
  • Identify project scope changes.
  • Review and guide new product development with respect to design for manufacturing and assembly.

Problem Solving

  • Produce, publish, and vault complete documentations for all tools.
  • Review engineering designs for the purpose of estimating tool and manufacturing cost. Recommend design changes to maximize economical manufacturing and manufacturing planned processes.
  • Prepare evaluations of, and justification for, the procurement of new machines and equipment. Select and order equipment, oversee its installation and help train employees in the proper use of the equipment.
  • Assist engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing personnel in problem solving activities related to assigned area for product support.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in a Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Engineering related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Machining experience preferred

  • Product knowledge is an added benefit.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred with Green Belt or Black Belt training or certification.
  • Experience: 2>5 years
  • Travel: Less than 10%.
