Job summary

Timken in Carson City, NV is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to join CGI Inc. This role lays out complete products and prepares assembly and detail drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, following engineer instructions; work includes processing daily orders with BOMs and engineering masters.

You will perform fit and function calculations, update redlines, support sales with drawings, and coordinate with outside representatives and customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lays out complete products and prepares assembly and detail drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, following the general instructions and directions of an engineer or lead mechanical designer.
• Processes daily work orders with associated drawings, bills of material (engineering masters), and other documentation.
• Prepares layouts, assembly, and detail drawings of products, test equipment, tools, fixtures, etc., with some assistance from a Senior Engineer.
• Performs and records engineering calculations regarding fit, form, and function.
• Changes redline drawings and maintains engineering masters, kits, drawing databases, etc.
• Makes layouts and/or isometric illustrations required for sales aids.
• Assists in the follow-up of custom designs with outside representatives, distributors, and customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
