Job summary

HydraForce, a Bosch Rexroth company, seeks a manufacturing engineer to improve production processes in our Lincolnshire, IL facility. You will work closely with production cells to prevent issues, design lean manufacturing layouts, and develop procedures for key HydraForce processes.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, data-driven reporting, and supporting new product introductions through APQP while maintaining strict safety standards. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing and tool design is a plus.
• Proficiency with Minitab for statistical analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Production cells to prevent and resolve problems with products and tooling.
• Analyze and design manufacturing cells to Lean standards.
• Develop technical procedures for HydraForce manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and isolate production failures.
• Identify root causes and reduce repeat issues in processes.
• Collect data and prepare technical reports from production.
• Support new product introduction through APQP processes.
• Ensure safety policies are implemented and followed.
• Stay informed on new manufacturing technologies to reduce cost through quality and efficiency.

• Work closely with Production cells to prevent and resolve problems with products and/or tooling/fixtures/machinery
• Analyze and design manufacturing cells that conform to Lean Manufacturing standards
• Develop technical procedures for HydraForce manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot and isolate production failures
• Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process
• Collect data and develop technical reports based on production
• Support all current and new product introduction through the APQP process
• Ensure all manufacturing safety policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times
• Stay informed concerning new manufacturing technologies and equipment in order to manufacture and reduce cost through quality and efficiencies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering preferred or experience in lieu
• Previous manufacturing experience a plus, not required
• Experience in tool design and modifications, 3D Modeling a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Hands-on, team oriented and committed to business improvement processes
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Process-oriented mentality
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodology
• Proficient with the Microsoft Suite Software
• Able to perform statistical analysis in Minitab
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Compensation range: USD $78,000-$86,000
